Throughout April we will be sharing with you our gardening adventures and how our garden grows, as it’s gardening month. (Well it’s in America but we’ve been loving the articles no we are embracing it!) We will visit gardening centres and update you in what we are growing and how it’s working out! Last year we started with best intentions then killed it all once we had decent size plants! Hopefully sharing how it’s growing on here will hold us more accountable.
We began planting some vegetables and bluebells on our rainy Easter weekend last week. Whilst I can’t show you any sprouts yet I can say we have at least kept up watering the pots of mud in hopes something will grow and I’m saw a seed has cracked!!
This week though I’ve been little Miss Bargain Hunter! So to finish up the bag of special soil we had purchased for £3 from Morrisons, we got potting trays that are super strong and sturdy from POUNDLAND!! Yep you read that right POUNDLAND!! Then we crossed the road to Lidl and purchased tons of seeds as they were just 29p a packet and I’m hoping we can make them all grow and I can have a bright and pretty garden before the boys destroy it with bikes and footballs!
Then I carry them down the garden and we go fill the watering can together before watering them … Then he sneaks down there as I’m getting the next tray and uses 3 pots like a sand castle!! After 3 trays of flowers and a pot of peppers we are done for the day, it was fun most the time, messy all the time and I’m ready for a shower and bedtime!!!
Have you started the gardening already? Do you get the kids involved, comment below and if you have a log post about it as always share in the links me & the monsters love reading others adventures!
